Achieve a bold, contemporary natural slate roof with authentic Brazilian Graphite slate. Quarried in Brazil’s renowned Minas Gerais region, these 500 x 250mm natural slates offer a deep charcoal-grey colour with subtle natural tone variations that create an attractive, sophisticated finish once installed.

This prime-grade natural slate features a flat, clean surface and dressed edges, delivering a neat, uniform appearance that suits both modern and traditional buildings.

Key Benefits

  • Deep Graphite colour – Rich charcoal tone with subtle natural shading for a striking, contemporary look.
  • Excellent performance ratings – Achieves W1 (water absorption), T1 (thermal cycle resistance) and S1 (sulphur dioxide exposure) under EN 12326 – the highest classifications for durability in UK conditions.
  • Strong & weather-resistant – High resistance to frost, weathering and the British climate for long-term reliability.
  • Clean appearance – Typically low or no visible pyrites for a consistent finish.
  • Cost-effective – A high-quality natural slate solution offering excellent value compared with many UK or other imported natural slates.

Natural slate products can vary slightly in thickness and colour. Always allow a contingency for breakage during transport and installation. Due to the nature of Brazilian slate, cutting with an angle grinder or electric slate cutter is often recommended, and hook fixing may be advised to reduce wastage. Install in accordance with BS 5534.
